Customised Gallery Drawer Display and Storage System

Theses top specification custom designed units enable collections to be both displayed and stored in public galleries. They can be integrated with other showcases and display equipment. Large numbers of objects can be stored and displayed in a small compact area. The unit and drawer dimensions can be fully customized to suit the objects and to blend with the gallery.

For example vertically mounted display drawers were used by the National Museum of Ireland to display coins and bank notes so that both sides could be viewed.

Locking dust sealed glass tops to each drawer enable visitors and staff to see and monitor collections that would formerly have been accessible to only a few. These units also provide many curatorial, conservation and security benefits including passive control of the relative humidity within individual drawers.

Access Advanced drawer units are constructed of steel and aluminium with hinged locking laminated security glass drawer tops and dust seals.

Drawers run on heavy-duty precision engineered telescopic slides. Gas spring dampers can be fitted to control movement and ensure that the drawers can only be opened and closed smoothly. The gas springs ensure that minimal effort is required. The drawers have 100% opening extension

Drawer mechanisms are specified to the client's loading requirement plus a substantial safety margin.
The heavy-duty slides ensure that the drawer is safely supported at full extension even if climbed on!

All hinged glass drawer tops are fitted with 2 Abloy™ security locks. Cabinets are fully lockable and are protected by Abloy™ security locks which can be individually keyed or suited. Finish is a tough powder coated paint finish to a BS or RAL colour reference. Various styles of drawer handle and label holders are available and can be positioned as required.

The drawer cabinet can be combined with display cases. For example a Prism style glazed desk top case can be fitted or the cabinet can form the plinth of a taller display case such the Inca or Vista style.
