Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology

ClickNetherfield were recently appointed to work with At Large Museum & Exhibition Designers to provide showcases for the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology at the University of Cambridge.

The Museum is currently undergoing a modernisation exercise, which will see the displays on two of its three floors being completely redesigned.

The Museum needs a suite of minimal, modern, steel and glass showcases to create a visual counterpoint to the existing Edwardian architecture, and it is expected that the showcases will appear as simple glass boxes, unencumbered by structural frameworks or lightboxes.

A mixture of both permanent and temporary showcases have been specified, which will ultimately allow the Museum greater flexibility in how it varies its displays and exhibitions in years to come.  TESS Demountable, a division of ClickNetherfield, will collaborate with ClickNetherfield on this project to provide the temporary solutions required.

Susan Fairley has been assigned as Project Manager, and she will see the project through to completion in April 2011.
