The International Conference of Museums (ICOM) hosts its 23rd General Conference in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from the 10-17 August 2013. This event is the main international gathering of museum professionals.
We will be exhibiting at the Museum Trade Fair on Stand 61 from the 12-15 August. The museum fair will be held in the CIDADE DAS ARTES, a beautiful post-modern piece of architecture.
In the wave of huge sports events to be hosted in Brazil and the country’s favorable economic period, Brazil has been living a unique cultural time with the construction of new museums, the expansion of access to existing museums and the growing interest by the population in art and knowledge. This is the atmosphere in which Rio de Janeiro will host the first museum fair ever held in Latin America.
