A major redevelopment of the Nottingham Castle site, including the Ducal Palace and its grounds, was led by Purcell, encompassing both the conservation management plan and the subsequent design work to preserve and restore the castle.
Click Netherfield was appointed to provide detail engineering design, manufacture and installation of 65 bespoke showcases across all galleries. Telling the story of Nottingham’s history from rebellions, riots to royal rows to lace and a collection of art, the five galleries of Lace, Creative City, Craft, Rebels, and Art & Inspiration, the showcases help to present Nottingham and the castle’s rich past.
This project included some of the smallest showcases we have ever made as well as some of the largest ones, including the 5.2M tall case in the Lace Gallery.
