Our Sustainability Commitments

Sustainability is embedded throughout our business; it’s at the forefront of our product design, manufacturing, logistics, procurement and project delivery.

We are committed to reducing our environmental impact while continuing to deliver high-performance, conservation-grade showcases that are built to last.

Our sustainability strategy is supported at Board level and championed throughout the organisation. We have committed to achieving Net Zero by 2045, with an ambition to reduce our carbon emissions by 40% by 2030. We are continually investing in new technologies, processes and initiatives to accelerate this progress.

We have achieved a 7.56% reduction in CO₂ emissions in 2024 and 8.21% in 2025, exceeding our annual target of at least 5%. This year we have also reduced our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 17.6%.

Our environmental performance is independently assessed through Planet Mark, with Click Netherfield Planet Mark Certified since 2024. We work continuously with Planet Mark to measure our carbon footprint, identify opportunities for improvement and develop our roadmap towards Net Zero. Since 2011, we have also offset approximately 1,700 tonnes of carbon through tree-planting initiatives delivered in partnership with Planet Mark.

We have recently achieved ISO:14001 certification, further strengthening our environmental management systems and demonstrating our commitment to internationally recognised best practice in environmental performance and continual improvement.

Reducing Carbon Across Our Operations

  • 100% renewable electricity across our operations.
  • A significant programme of investment in solar power, fleet electrification, heat pumps, building improvements and energy-efficient machinery.
  • A commitment to reduce business travel through increased use of digital meetings and remote design reviews.
  • Increased use of rail, shared logistics and lower-carbon shipping options for project deliveries.
  • More than 90% of our suppliers located within 70 miles of our manufacturing facility, with a target of 95% by 2028.
  • Electric vehicle charging, an EV salary sacrifice scheme and cycle-to-work initiatives.
  • Increased hybrid working to reduce commuting-related emissions.

Our in-house manufacturing capabilities also provide significant environmental benefits by reducing transportation, packaging and reliance on complex international supply chains.

We are committed to reducing waste and maximising the useful life of our products. Our showcases are designed for long-term durability, repairability, reuse and end-of-life recyclability, with all showcase materials now achieving 100% recyclability.

Our standardised showcase ranges reduce material waste and improve manufacturing efficiency, while modular and configurable designs enable components to be reused and reconfigured rather than replaced.

In 2025, we achieved zero waste to landfill, with our manufacturing waste streams—including aluminium, steel, timber, cardboard, plastics, electrical components and glass—segregated and recycled through approved specialist contractors. Our laminated glass waste is also recovered for reuse in UK infrastructure products.

We have developed our own Showcase Carbon Tracker, enabling us to measure and manage the embodied and operational carbon associated with individual projects. This allows sustainability to be considered from the earliest stages of design and procurement, helping our teams identify lower-carbon materials, optimise logistics and make informed decisions throughout project delivery.

Using our proprietary software we offer all of our clients the option to achieve a carbon neutral, or carbon positive, showcase package.

Sustainability is not a standalone initiative at Click Netherfield – it is an ongoing commitment to improving how we design, manufacture, deliver and support our showcases.

Through our Planet Mark certification, ISO:14001 environmental management system, Net Zero roadmap and continued investment in carbon reduction, we are working to ensure that every project contributes to a more sustainable future without compromising the conservation, security, quality or longevity of the objects we are entrusted to protect.
