The Qatar National Library contains Doha’s National Library, Public Library and University
Library. The project was officially opened in April 2018 and the contemporary library also preserves the Heritage Collection, which consists of valuable texts and manuscripts relating to the Arab-Islamic civilisation.
The iconic building was designed by OMA architects and was led by the renowned Dutch architect and theorist Rem Koolhass. We designed, manufactured and installed a total of 365 showcases to accommodate the stringent requirements for lighting, security and humidity controls.
Our cases were integrated into the fabric of the building, blending in beautifully with natural stone architectural finishes. For the wall cases, a complex push and slide mechanism was expertly designed by our experienced team of design engineers to meet the needs of the client.
