The Qatar National Library is one of the Middle East’s foremost cultural institutions, combining the National Library, Public Library and University Library within a landmark building designed by OMA Architects under the direction of renowned architect Rem Koolhaas.
Click Netherfield was commissioned to design, manufacture and install 365 bespoke museum showcases throughout the Heritage Collection. The project demanded the seamless integration of conservation-grade display cases into one of the world’s most iconic contemporary library buildings while delivering exceptional standards of security, environmental control and accessibility.
Our cases were integrated into the fabric of the building, blending in beautifully with natural stone architectural finishes. For the wall cases, a complex push and slide mechanism was expertly designed by our experienced team of design engineers to meet the needs of the client.
