Built inside a converted souk, the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization presents Islamic heritage through a stunning display of artefacts manuscripts. Spread over seven galleries, the museum includes exhibits exploring faith, Islamic art and culture, and science and innovation, all working in harmony with the cool, airy interior of the former souk.
We were proud to be part of a hugely skilled project team, including the Sharjah Museum Authority, Haley Sharpe Design, and Beck Interiors. Working closely with our fellow team members, we designed and installed a range of custom-designed, free-standing and integrated display cases. Our case designs complement the building’s clean aesthetic, working with the existing infrastructure and providing a backdrop to the intricate and beautiful artefacts.
Located along the Majarrah Waterfront in Sharjah, UAE, this museum is a major cultural landmark which boasts over 5,000 rare artefacts spanning 1,400 years of Islamic history, science and art.
