Explosive History
An exploding gas main and priceless silverware are not a good combination. When their silver room exploded, the National Museum of Finland turned to ClickNetherfield for help.
Conserving and displaying a priceless collection is a challenging job. Imagine then dealing with the aftermath of a gas explosion in your museum's silver room.
This was the challenge faced by the National Museum of Finland, and we were there to help.
Most of their existing showcases were damaged beyond repair, so we designed and built customised cases based on two of our system ranges - both ideally suited for the display and conservation of finely detailed items. To complement the gallery's design aesthetic, we mounted all the new cases on custom-built steel plinths.
