Vital Stats

Toronto Reference Library is undergoing a five-year, 34 million dollar revitalization to recreate itself as Toronto's foremost public centre for lifelong learning, the exchange of ideas and community engagement.

We supplied a total of 30 high-specification showcases for the project, which has been aptly titled "re:vitalize".

A suite of 20 showcases, each with 'Amiran' anti-reflective glass by Schott, gorgeous solid cherry cladding and sleek stainless-steel angled base plinths was delivered for the new TD Bank Gallery. Specifically designed for rare books, special collections and true artifacts, the cases were built to the highest standards both aesthetically and from a conservation point of view. Additionally, a second installation of 10 high-specification showcases for the high-traffic public space areas for rotating exhibitions took place shortly after the first. Created with powered vertical-lift access systems, the all-Amiran glass cases provide the ultimate in unobstructed object handling for the Library's staff.
