Pride of china

Celebrating the first decade of Hong Kong's reunification with China.

  • Inca cases at the Hong Kong Museum of Art

The Pride of China Exhibition to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the reunification of Hong Kong & China.

This exhibition, an unprecedented event of its kind in Hong Kong, offers masterpieces of Chinese painting and calligraphy dating from the Jin, Tang, Song and Yuan dynasties. Among them are world acclaimed masterpieces, including Wang Xun's Letter to Boyuan of the Jin dynasty, Feng Chengsu's Copy after Preface to the Orchid Pavilion Gathering, Yan Liben's Emperor Taizong Receiving the Tibetan Envoy of the Tang dynasty, Dong Yuan's The Xiao and Xiang Rivers of the Five Dynasties, and Zhang Zeduan's Along the River During the Qingming Festival of the Song dynasty. Some of these works are one thousand years old.

The tickets sold out completely for this exhibition organised by Leisure and Cultural Services Department Hong Kong (LCSD), the Hong Kong Museum of Art and The Palace Museum Beijing.

The length of the scrolls meant ClickNetherfield had to create a 6m long PRISM with 4 synchronised lifting devices to ensure an even and seamless lift. All the cases have Amiran® low reflective glass tops and active humidity control systems. With exhibits of such age and value, all cases were thoroughly tested by LCSD and ClickNetherfield staff prior to arranging the priceless exhibits.
